Custom Made Seat

Just picked up my new seat from Tony Archer of Huddersfield :D . Absolute bargain, top quality and service. £80 to lower the seat (88 Euros or $110) and recover, (new foam as the BMW seat cover was fixed to the foam). No wonder Mr Archer has a workshop full of seats. http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3...

Re: Wunderlich flooterset

Grapeman - Here's a picture of the switch fixed to the LH mirror stem. It isn't immediately reached from the LH grip but as they are either on or off during a ride that isn't much of a problem. http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3440/3224567271_0fa504bd62.jpg The lights appear bright in this picture but...

Re: Wunderlich flooterset

Fitted the Wunderlich Microflooters and set them up so they are additional riding lights. Only minor irritation is the illuminated switch sometimes doesn't! German instructions but if non German speaker then relatively simple to follow if you download the English intructions from the Wunderlich webs...

Ok fellas, added some more photos.... Rear view - they stick out more than the cylinder heads and are about 2" wider than mirrors. http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2075/2162714944_c784131c5c.jpg Pannier opening mechanism, basically uses a single key, red button pushed down to open pannier, red bu...

They panniers are not compatible with the BMW rails as the mounting kit utilises the same fixing points. Even with the Givi mounts and top box fixings they're still considerably cheaper than the BMW system. Givi even provide different colour spacers depending if fixing to frame or footpegs. I got th...

Givi Panniers

Just acquired a set of Givi V35 Panniers. I think they suit the lines of the R very well.

I have a magnetic tank bag and use stuff called wonderweb available off ebay to protect the tank from scratches. This works better than a cloth protector as it's "sticky" and prevents the bag from sliding about.

New R1200R Owner

Took the plunge and traded in the Hornet for an ex demo black 1200r. What a beast! Took it for a blast around the Yorkshire Dales this weekend. Fantastic torque, and superb Telelever front end made it superb for the narrow lanes and twistys.
