I ordered a Hagon for the rear and it took a month to get! They said the remote preload adjuster was the hold up. Installed it yesterday. Haven't ridden it yet. Looking forward to a better handling bike!

Yep. Stick coil. I rode to restaurant last week and it ran fine. On the way home it started that surging, missing thing. I did spark check and they were all firing. Seems like a lot of new members have purchased 2004 1150r's, including me. Wonder why. I googled how many r1150r's they made but no results.

Thanks guys. Not familiar with drivetrain. Didn't know that wheel spining thing was normal. Ya georgek that is what I was talking about. You can get a socket on a hex head bolt? Must need a shallow universal to get around that jog in the bracket. That's why i am thinking 12 point small head.

Fuel pump failing? You might have fuel coming out of injectors but is it the right pressure? Have you inspected all wiring harnesses? Might have short to ground on fuel or ignition wiring. New owner 2004 R1150R. Can somebody just give me info on the best windshield? I tried search but too much info. I think mine has the stock one installed. Sorry. I'm sure this is a tired topic.
