How many did they make?

Post by previousrz350 »

Seems like a lot of new members have purchased 2004 1150r's, including me. Wonder why. I googled how many r1150r's they made but no results.

Some years ago (at least five, maybe more) a long time member (perhaps cyclerob) listed a number of changes and improvements to the R1150R during the 2004 production year. I don't remember all of them but important topics were improvement in clutch spline alignment, no wire-tie problems to worry about, and minor improvements in fuel injection.

I remember specifically, the incidence of final drive failures/problems dropped signifantly after model year 2004. Since I have a 2005 model, that post made me feel MUCH better. I might have missed some points or mis-remembered some. I wish I could find that post.
