Bad Ignition coils
Hey folks, I have a 2004 Rockster. Just changed both coils the other day. The bike started running rough and backfiring. Also up in the higher rev range it would just bog down. I'm at 27k miles and a friend with less miles on an 04 GS had the same problem a month ago. It's an easy swap so if anyone ...

Re: FITTING A REAR HUGGER TO A ROCKSTER
I got it from e-bay. Pain in the rear to install. I had to widen the hole a bit to line it up but all's well in the end. Left the silencer off as well. Looks good. Am going to install the Y-pipe next week. Heres the link below, send him an e-mail. Nice guy maybe he can sell you just the screw... htt...

Goto http://www.wunderlich.de It's in German though...
They have lots of addon parts to increase horsepower. Cams, Chip, Exhaust...etc... Seems like they don't have these parts on offer in the States or in Greece.

I had/have the same problem. It's no big deal at your next service they can change the seal. easy fix for the dealer. See if you can get it covered under warranty. Most Rocksters had this problem. Poor quality control from BMW. You'll also find chipping paint on fork legs. Ignition wires will get ge...

Fuel lines
Anybody have the fuel line coupling go on them? Yesterday on my return from a tour in Greece my Rock started to cry...boo hoo hoo!!!! It was leaking fuel. By the time I made it home it was as if someone had left the faucet running. Luckily no fire!!!! I ended up changing the male side of the couplin...

Not recomended to mix and match tires. For one thing the front and rear tread patterns are made to work in conjunction with one another. In the rain the front clears a path for the rear preventing hydroplaning and allowing the tire to grip. Example : Dunlop had a problem w/ theD207's wrong direction...

Leaky drive shaft
Hey Guys, My drive shaft seal is causing a drip by the boot right on to my tire. Brought the bike for service and supposedly they fixed the problem. Only problem is it leaking even worse than before. My question is do I need to heat the rear end by the bolt to remove said bolt or can I just pop it. ...

Hello Again,
Hey Guys I've been gone for a while. I have officially moved to Greece and have brought the Rockster over with me. Great roads in this neck of the woods. Internet access is a bitch and took me a while to get everything in order. It's good to see that the board is still going strong. Just read the sa...
