Front fender??

Anybody know what other, if any bikes use the same front fender as the rockster? I recently had a run-in with a chain strectched across a path. I really dont want to spend $300+ on another carbon fiber one if i dont have to

I think this should fit, if memory serves me correct, the R1100S and Rockster share the same front fender. You will want to confirm that though.

They're VERY similar, but not exactly the same.

If you can get hold of the mounting bolts for the R1100S one it'll help - the central one (that goes vertically up into the underside of the fork bridge) is a different length. That's the only real difference.

(my bike is currently wearing an R1100S front mudguard.)

Bought one on ebay germany for 120 bucks...
All carbon. much better quality than stock...

Sorry to bring this up again.....but I am having a really hard time finding a front fender for my Rockster. Any one know if any other fender other than a R1100S one would work? Doesnt need to be carbon fiber, and a bit of modding would be ok too.

I was parked next to a K1200LT the other day, and it looks like a person could rig it to a rockster with a little mod work. Just a thought.

I've read elsewhere (here on the r1150r.org site) that the K1200RS fits (for an example, see the member ride photo on page 3: http://www.r1150r.net/pics/user_rides/DSC00183.JPG).
The folks at beemerboneyard (http://www.beemerboneyard.com) have confirmed that many of the fenders will fit (including K1200RS, R1100/1150RS & RT, and R1100S), since all BMW fenders have the side (fork) bolt/mount location. However, the center top bolt location is only on a few.
Another option that I am considering (for an R1150R) is the Hesa front fender. It's almost $200 (with shipping) and comes unpainted (white finish), but looks better than the beak, IMO. I have seen some carbon fiber fenders for around $200-$300, so the Hesa fender may not be a better option for you.
