Re: ASC retrofit

I'm not sure if this is relevant, but there's an interesting note on the listing for a replacement instrument cluster (i was digging through the thing trying to find out if it's possible to install K13 switchgear) : "For vehicles with RDC X530A = Yes or ASC X650A = Yes. Important! When replacin...

Re: Recomendation for a good winter coat requested...

Thanks for all the great advice guys... I really like my old Belstaff, anybody have any experience with the new stuff? I've had a Rockingham Vintage Blouson for puttering around town for the past two seasons, it's reasonably inconspicuous (huge eagle logo in the back put aside) when worn off the bi...

Re: Shocks

Doug,

looks like it isn't manual, unfortunately.

here's relevant part of the exchange with Klaus :

"is it possible to (manually) adjust the compression on the ESA'd shocks ?"

"no that is not possible. The initial pre-load has to be set at the swap of
the ESA components."

Re: Shocks

So, i had a short email exchange with Klaus. here's the dirt on the ESA'd Hyperpros : You need to send in your shocks so they can swap the ESA components in. They're a bit more expensive as well. My understanding is that you're also sacrificing some adjustments possibilities (namely, compression) fo...

Re: Shocks

cool, thanks ! Mostly correct. Works Performance will take your ESA shocks and transfer the ESA controller to their shocks. Hyperpro is working on a similar design, but dunno when it will be done. any updates on this ? will it be retro-fittable on shocks bought before they find a way to do it ? I as...

quickshifter ???

well, since there are rumors of a 13gs and that a 12r won't be long behind it, i've got this hunch the urge to farkle to stay away from the new shiny is going to be powerful pretty soon... of the funstuff i was thinking about, has anyone experimented with the aftermarket quickshifters ? do they work...

Re: Oh, No - More Tire Talk... Have you ever used a Dunlop D616?

It's a 5D MKII. Joe, just so you know - the screws in the zoom column of the 24-70 have a tendency to come loose with vibrations. it'll give you a nice, out of focus look to parts of the image. If you have a local (and decent and friendly) service center, you can get 'em glued in, which can help......

Re: Absolutely No Motorcycle Content

You are driving the average $140,000 Lingenfelter 'twin-turbo' powered Corvette Z06. Over a mile up the road, a top fuel dragster is staged and ready to launch down a quarter mile strip as you pass. You have the advantage of a flying start. You run the 'Vette hard up through the gears and blast acr...

for what it's worth, i am not american, i'm canadian, can speak french (not well!) am a designer so i do care about style, and think those jackets look awful and would never get one. i just don't think the jacket is ugly for the sole reason that it is 'designed by americans for americans'. wes sorr...

Re: Hot weather riding gear

Guys ! I don't understand what you all have with these Motoport jackets...there design seems so bulky and primitive. I have to find one and look at them closely. well, they look like crap but the protection is excellent. and yeah, maybe someone should steal some of, say, bellstaff's designs... (enf...

Re: Question on WHITE R1200R

About to buy a nearly new R1200R. The bike I am considering has the right spec but is in the wrong colour - Grey. We have enough rain in UK , I don't need reminding, so will have to organise a re-spray. Was thinking black then I saw the white on this thread. Wow. Anyone have details of the BMW whit...

i'd love to try this, but i'm wondering how much new lettering would cost if I don't like the "naked" look... also, has anyone tried painting an R12 "classic" silver ? (i've got a feeling it could look seriously sexy - here's a quick and dirty mockup : http://www.boring.ch/matt/m...
