I need a new battery and I am not near a dealer, Is there any place to order them that does not charge an arm and leg to ship? Or there any alternitives out there?

I highly recommend that you consider a drycell Odyssey battery. Just search for PC-680 on ebaymotors. They are $63.95 + $14 S&H.
Advantages: They don't require winter maintenance, they are shipped full and ready to install, they can be deep-discharged, they can be installed in any position except upside-down, and are supposed to last several times longer than a lead-acid battery.
Disadvantages: the terminals are oriented slightly differently, and you may have to make or buy a small angle bracket for the negative lead. Some install it on its side and claim they do not need the angle bracket.
Research it for yourself: there is plenty of information on the Odysser on the net.

Odyssey is the way to go. You can probably bend your battery leads to work on the Odyssey as I did,

Another vote for the Odyssey PC-680
I went with the PC-680. I got it from Ebay. I think I paid $55 to my door for the battery. I actually ordered some battery terminal adapters for the battery so I wouldn't have to get into the bending issues but I do not remember where I got them from. I remember that they were not expensive.
I am not going to start a battery charging debate but I have been using my regular battery tender plus charger with my PC-680 for close to three years with no problems at all (knock on wood). Hope this info helps
