Re: Replaced Quick Connect, now will not start

I replaced on a couple of years ago and this one this week. I get a good stream of gas if I disconnect the injectors and cycle the fuel pump.

Replaced Quick Connect, now will not start

My first mistake was to let the bike sit for six months after the quick connect broke. I replaced the quick connect, added fresh fuel, but the bike will not start. If i spray a little starting fluid into the intake, it fires right up. Not even a hiccup without the starting fluid. I removed the injec...

Re: Which R1150R?

Where are you looking to get one from? I have been thinking of selling my '04 Rockster since I am in Iraq right now and can't enjoy it. (Three kids in the last three years takes some riding time away too) Would let it go at a good price so if you are anywhere near NC, let me know.

Re: Tech Session #2 in Gainesville GA . . . June 27th

Sure would love to get over there for a Tech day and a visit back to North GA. I used to live off of Brown's Bridge Rd. Some of the best Scenery around up towards Suches. Anywho...No way I could come, seeing how I am on my second vacation to Iraq right now, so be sure to post on the aftermath so I c...

What would you do?

Ok, I am thinking of selling my Rock, let me know what you guys would do. My bike will be paid for in a few months, but I think I may sell it. I am leaving to go back to Iraq for about a year in Dec. and don't know how the bike will do sitting up for that long. I don't have a garage to store it in, ...

Re: Disaster!!!! (I think)

So, I have to know.... Did the dealership never examine the bike, did a factory rep. never inspect the damage, and if not, have you notified BMW of the dealership's Telling you an outright lie? I have no faith in dealerships anymore, I asked my dealership to check my Quick-connects two years ago whe...

Re: Engine oil: Auto or Cycle only?

One important fact that's overlooked is the stock BMW filter is designed for 20W-50 weight oil in a motorcycle engine (higher RPM than a car). Fifty weight oil going thru an AC Delco car filter?? It's going to internally bypass the oil (unfiltered) more often than you will know, without any...

I bought a Tomahawk for my rear tire, after A nail put an end to my three day old Pilot Road. Reason I bought it was because i Purchased it and had it mounted for 80 bucks. Found out a cpl of weeks later that they are retreads. That being said, I put close to 8000 miles on the the tire before i had ...

Glad to see you are getting rain. I saw the pics of Lake Lanier on the news the other day and it looks as if another month or so of dry weather and you guys will be using the dam for a half-pipe.

I keep telling my wife that when I get the Roackster paid off, that I want a cruiser. We'll see I guess. The one I want though is the Triumph Rocket III, 149 hp, 147 fp of torque. I just hope they still make them when I get ready to take that plunge....

Wife's bike totalled

Luckily, she wasn't on it. We had my wife's 2005 kawa Nija 500 on consignment at the local BMW shop. They had it out by the road on display and some lady lost control of her car and took it out, along with four other bikes. I guess it sold pretty quick huh?

Toughest Four Days Ever

I linger around the boards here almost everyday, but seldom do I post. I own a 2004 Orange/ black Rockster and absolutley love it. This past Saturday, I was at a family reunion. I did not ride my bike, (although I had wanted to) but one of my brothers rode his 2002 Triumph Daytona. We all had a blas...

ACK... Posted a long reply, but did not post for some reason. Basically what i said wass that I was in Iraq for 10 months. Only ones that seem to think this about religion are the fanatics that the terrorists recruit to do their dirty work. They hide bhind the phrase holy war. THIS IS NOT ABOUT RELI...
