Hi Cruiser. I have a Schuberth C2 helmet with the same black plastic moulding. I stubbornly tried fitting the scala rider in it and ended up disappointed. It's now screwed on nicely to my Zeus 508 helmet.

Hello Daniel, I agree with you about the forum and the bike. I have had the same problem and it sounds a typical phenomena for this bike. The solution is simple: Put the clutch grip on wider opening (2 or 3) and try double or even triple clutch when the motor is cold. Sure after reaching the 10.000...

^ some '03's have the twin spark heads too (plus the braided lines, etc.) I think you'll love the bike for what you described as your needs. For sound, I use my MP3 player on headphones, works perfect and I'm able to keep the volume just right to still hear traffic. Also have a Givi fairing painted...

Don't miss a trick do you DJ! Actually - Nothing as exciting as drugs. I often wake up from a camp and the bike and my gear is covered in dew. So it's just a small 'face washer' (little towel) that sits there in case everything needs a wipe-down to get rid of the water. If not that, then it gets us...

Thank you for posting this MIXR. You are one meticulous dude. Hmmm... you may also want to carry a spare shirt. I'll get my own "gutter mesh" as well.. and put a sticker on the lid where I have my first aid kit (it includes a neck brace and a resucitation mask, among other things). ...

As Rog says, in the UK a nod is the usual greeting, and it's pretty universal down here in the South-West. I like the French greeting - drop your left arm down and out at about 45 degrees. Apparently the lower the wave the cooler it is! Their 'thank-you' to helpful cars is great too - extend the le...

Mine are set according to the manual's recommendations, 2 turns back from full hard. I'm the same weight as you at about 6'1" tall. Run my tires at 38/40psi front/rear, too. Seems ok to me. Hi Sunbeemer, I remember reading (was it the manual?) that you need to inflate the front and rear tires ...

Re: Whats the quietest helmet

I dont want to spend a fortune about £200 give or take a bit. Could anyone recommend a decent helmet thats pretty quiet? Thanks in advance Ernie Try on a chin skirt Ernie. It's cheap and may be good enough. Some skirts go all the way round to the back of the neck. http://www.chaparral-racing.com...

I never expected these huge great answers. I can feel how much you love your bike and I finally decided to buy black R1150R next week. If I get it, I will upload some pictures. Thank you a lot for your kind advices. Congratulations on your choice of bike Eroson! One more Asian straddling a German b...

Fuel Filler Cap Leak After Washing

Been trying to find a thread discussing it but couldn't. Everytime I have my bike washed or parked in a place with lots of dew, I open up my fuel filler cap and water comes out. I also look inside and water even accumulates in the curcular lip just inside the filler cap. I'm afraid some water even g...

Re: Luggage options

I have a lovely Givi top box on my “R” and I was wondering how to extend the luggage capacity for a weekend break away. I could either :- a) buy some expensive matching panniers b) buy a pair of throw-over (soft) panniers c) use a regular (hiking) ruck-sack (cheapest) What do you reckon...

But having just said that, I think MIXR makes a lot of sense. I'll get more test rides on the GS and feel how "different" it really is. And that comment on MIXR getting a nosebleed just climbing on the GSAdv is so funny! Thanks for starting my day right!

I think if I'd earned the money properly I'd have less to consider, but this is actually part of my late Grandfather's estate, so it's a bit of a difficult dicision to make. He used to ride bikes and loved seeing mine, so I'm sure he'd be happy about it, it's an incredible machine after all 8) Wow!...
