Re: LED Tail lights
I think Wunderlich or Rizoma makes one.
On ebay you also see the Clear Alternatives, but they don't last.
I've gone through three of them and went back to stock.

OlyVR - beautiful bike, why are you selling and does it comes with the pooch? I ride with a couple of guys that have dragged me over to the dark side and I now want a GS. I have ADD when it comes to motor vehicles and even though the bike is great, I'm looking for something else - it's a quirk of m...

I love the SW Motech as they make for great leg rests on the highway.MacAlister wrote:Thanks Shiny and sorry to hear you have any experience in that matter. Think the plates looks more attractive on the 1200 but expect the bars to provide better protection.

Re: Buying advise
Let me try to answer your questions: Combined City and Highway: I find the R12R to be very nimble around town in traffic and have taken mine on a couple of long trips. I think the R12R is a great tourer if you change a couple of things: Bars, Pegs and Seat. Reliability: I believe they are very relia...

Re: Will the GS screen fit?
While it may be possible, I doubt it'll be practical.zei220 wrote:Thanks for that, do you know if the mounting hardware can be fitted to the r1200r?
By the time you have welded on the hardware to attach the adjustable screws on the sides, it would be cheaper to buy a good aftermarket windshield.

Re: Will the GS screen fit?
Nope, the attachment points/system is different on the GS to accomodate a screen that is adjustable whereas the R's screen is stationary.

Robert, Bobw already answered your questions, but I wanted to add that if you're a BMW MOA member I suggest you look up their Hexhead tech section. Don (Eilenberger) pointed me that way and that's where I found the excellent instructions to check and adjust the rocker arm play. I still get some vibe...

I like it, but then again I've always liked the design of the early Confederate Motorcycles and have seen some cool BMW Bobbers as well. For example I like this one:

Re: NOW AVAILABLE FROM SARGENT CYCLE PRODUCTS!
Does the pan look like it will last 100,000 miles? Definitely. Not only does it look and feel that I'll last 100,000 miles, but 100,000 years as well. The Corbin seat pan is built like a tank and weighs a ton. If I had to describe it, elegant and graceful are not attributes I would use, but rather ...

I somehow have a feeling that Joe will disagree with you on that.
Have you seen some of Chitown's trip reports?
Besides the breathtaking photography it also makes me feel like a wuss not wanting to take my R12R off road.

Re: Disturbance
The F800 is a fine looking bike and I'm sure quite exciting, and I will probably end up with one as a second bike but not as the only beemer because: No Boxer. While other bikes may have more power, be faster etc. (i.e. K1200), they don't have the boxer. The boxer engine eptitomizes BMW bikes to me....

Do you already have a VIN (last 7 digits) or Production number?
If so, your dealer should be able to look it up.

Does anyone know if any of the seat manufacturers are going to have osterich or alligator covers available for the R? I saw one on a bike and it looked hot  I'm pretty sure Corbin would. They list a bunch of choices under materials and I have seen ostrich and gator on some of their seats for H...

Re: Corbin seat - about to pull the trigger
I got myself a Sargent seat. Had to wait five weeks for it. I am very happy with it. I popped it right in. No problem. Very comfortable. I can do miles and miles on it. I did not order the back seat as i always ride solo. Did you have to send them your seat? When I inquired they said that they'd on...
