For those of you familiar with both the R1200R and the R1200RT, will the handlebar set from the R1200RT fit on the R1200R?

No. As the pic shows, the RT bars are bolted to the steering head. The RR bars are standard tubular bars.

That ( The tubeular handle bars ) is another thin I love about my R1200R.

Anything can be done...you could mount the RT top triple clamp along with the bars......Ka Chingggg...
