Tank Range on R1200R & how much gas do you get in?

Post by socalrob »

To all with the new ride,

What kind of range / mileage are you getting, and how much gas do you get in the tank (how usable is the capacity, I never get more than 4.5 gal in our 5.5 gal R1150R tank).

The smaller tank size was a big negative at first, I am wondering how its turning out.

Hi Everybody

Is there any experience by now what range you really get from the R12R?

Cheers

The R1200R and R1200ST share the same engine. I consistantly get 47 to 49 MPG the way I drive, look for a statinn at about 200 miles, the most gas that I have put in my ST tank is 5.2 gallons, have never run it dry.

You get at least 350 km at highway speed, using 98 octane ROZ petrol. Lower grade fuel = higher consumption.
