Tankbag suggestions??

I need a tankbag for an upcoming trip. I'm trying not to lay out the large bank BMW wants for theirs!

I'm looking at a Marsee, teardrop that's supposed to be 'made' for the R (oddly enough, the raincover does not have a clear area over the map pocket).

Can anyone suggest a tankbag that has worked well?
I prefer staps to magnets. A raincover would be great

Thoughts???

I use a Marsee 20 l teardrop magnetic and really like it
However, I have never felt happy with the raincover
The magnets really hold it in place

I too use the Marsee teardrop magnetic tankbag. I find the magnets really hold it in one place, plus to add fuel, i just tilt it up. Just make sure to keep the fabric between the mags and the tank free of any dirt and you won't have any scratches.

On my last, three BMW's, I have used the BigMak Tankbag.
Many BMW touring riders use this bag. Nothing touches your paint and it swings up towards the windshield for refueling. (If you use bar-backs it will not swing all the way forward). If you decide on the Big Mak, make sure that you order the rigid platen that is made from aluminum. It's only $15 more and is much sturdier than the standard plastic one.

Fair priced and practical bags. I have one (they made it in black and orange to match my bike) its huge I'll pack that with toiletries, socks and skivvies and am good for a while.

I too have the Marsee teardrop and like the bag OK, fits good, but am upset that Marsee doesn't even make a rain cover to fit it.
