weee it is now over 600 miles
let me see..
oil changes
check tire pressure
replaced plug and gasket

total cost is ..

OVER 300.%^^^ dollars

and no washie washie da bike???

darn dealers...


I am now a proud owner of one GIVI whindscreen/shield ( Silver)
Hard to relate the installation instructions
Finally figured out where to mount that thing.
So far looks good

I will take picture soon when I get a new digital camera.
spent my camera money on the 600 mile tuneup/adjustment

Don't think they change the plugs on the 600 mile service, but they do a valve adjustment & throttle body sync.

If your not happy with your dealer, try another. There are several Texas riders either on or used to be on this board. They should know the good dealers in Tx. I would point you to where several of them are (a different board) but would most likely not go well for me. Sorry.

The 600 mile check is the most important service. They loosen and re-torque the headnuts, reset all 4 of the rockerarm endplays, reset the two swingarm bearing end plays, check for Motronic and ABS trouble codes, check TPS voltage setting and torque check dozens of critical fasteners throughout the bike. There's a lot more than what I just listed off the top of my head, but you get the picture. It's way more than oil changes, TB synch and a valve adjustment. You hired an experienced professional (hopefully), to perform precise adjustments, all aimed at making your bike run exactly as BMW engineers intended it to.

I hope you feel less "cheated" now.
