Guidance for posting Please (Mod's)

I found a set of mirrors (K1200) on the BMWST site that some folks like to put on their R's and posted it in the B&S section in case someone was interested. It was deleted after just 1 day. Do we not want to pass on info like this?

Rootin,

I know on the old board contact info was a big deal and we tried to avoid listing third party items. It's possible someone deleted your item because you were not the seller.

We'll get a final say on this policy.

I deleted the post for two reasons.

1, you were not the seller (we have a rule asking only sellers initiate a "for sale" post in buy/sell/trade), and

2, the link you posted to the mirrors was bad and took you to a "Error 404 Page not found". Sorry.

Rootin55, it is true we want to only keep items that members are actually selling in there... it just makes it neater and more concise when someone is looking for gear. If you want to try and repost the link, as I'm sure some are interested, post it in the main R1150R section -Thats the best place for it as it pertains to the R1150r.
