About three weeks ago I filled out the form and sent money via paypal to join this forum. I got the following response the next day.

Are you going to r1150r.net?!!

Thanks for the donation. member note to follow soon..no time now! :)

I've gotten nothing since even though I emailed queries to [email protected].

Is this normal response time or did I get lost in the shuffle here?

cc,

You are in. Doug gets busy for weeks at a time and since this is his hobby, he doesn't always get the e-mails caught up. He is honest as the day is long, so please be patient.

Meanwhile, trust me, you are missing nothing in the Members or Playhouse sections.

Welcome aboard.

OK. I wasn't questioning honesty, just checking to see what's up.

I wasn't aware that people who sponsor sites like this were allowed to have a life outside the forum.

cc,

Good sense of humor, I see. That'll come in handy. Few rules here-just post in the right places and be nice to others.

You might find the search feature to be 'badly performing', so ask whatever you like.

Most contentious topics are: ABS and kill switch. Be warned.

cc,

I was about to suggest that you be sure to ask about the proper use of the kill switch. I'm still a little fuzzy on it myself.

HEY! I like that! A little fuzzy kill-switch. I wonder if it really works?

Boxer, it only successfully kills the engine on occasion, but it coordinates well with the fuzzy dice.

The last bike that I regularly used a kill switch on was my C15 BSA hillclimber. As soon as I got a bike with a key I used that to stop the motor.

Mike (Camfarm) , it's not "ABS and kill switch" - looks like the new topic is now "the ABS kill switch" !

cc, Welcome aboard. Think about putting somethins in your sig line. Now go ride. What's going to get to in MN today ? Low 20's ? Go for it.

PS It's sunny and 62 F in NJ right now. I think I need to go on an errand at lunch, yeah, that's the ticket !

Ugh, I'm really sorry guys. I have a few members I have to make official. I just havent been able to do it. Here is why:

4 weeks ago I was on business travel for 1.5 weeks so I couldnt do much then. Then my computer harddrive started getting errors (read: about to totally crash), so I preventatively bought a new hard drive and installed a new OS and upgraded to XP at the same time. My ancient version of MS office didnt work on XP, so I went out and bought the new MS office and stupidly neglected to get the version that included Access. I cant get into my custom member program which is a MS Access-based program (I must have Access to open the "MDB file").

So I cant sign anyone up officially until I get MS Access. I dont have the cash to get it now since most of the funny money I have went into the hard drive, Windows XP and MS office (You're welcome, Bill). Oh, also my wife bought a car, and needed help with the down payment so I'm pretty damn tapped out. A guy's gotta eat, right! :)

Then all this malarchy started with the board and that took up a lot of my free time over the last week or so. Every day I look at the member letter on my desk and think about the new members. Man I'd be pissed. So I am sorry for the delay, it is pretty unusual. I've been meaning to send out an email apology, but I wont even get into my email issues!!

Oh, and on top of all of that is a little bit of 'ol fashioned lazyness.

So, if you have sent in a donation, please send me a PM with your real name and I'll at least give you access to the board (Members section/Pat's section) - then you can get in and I will have some sort of record in my PM box.

Again, I am really sorry about the delay.
