Just a question

Post by GuestGuestGuest »

Just one question, whaycoc.

Why was the NR-500 thread moved to "Off Topic", but the "My son failed his motorcycle test", "Those down under - LOOKOUT!!!", "Need Trailer Advice", "Cleanning Gortex", etc. threads that don't deal with R1150R's directly were not, and why was Riceburner's "Goodbye" thread deleted?

Thank you.

Hi Cammy

Post by whaycoc »

I had a very busy summer with working 20 rallies all over the country - really very exhausting! Also, in the process of selling my home and relocating to Huntsville, AL - damn, this moving is a tremendous drain! I moved about 13 times while in the military and it was never this difficult.

Been mixing in some Iron Butt Rides! Can you believe it?

On top of all this, I have become very interested in digital photography and
Digital darkroom work - been taking multiple classes trying to learn how to use Photo shop - now that is a drill!

My return to the board was not a happy event! Seems like a few are intent on dragging us down - I personally don't even see an issue - what is so difficult to post a posting in the proper forum? I feel confident the hundreds of "quiet members" will continue to enjoy the best resource I have ever seen on the 1150R!

So Cammy, hope you are doing well, drop me an email and Lets talk about some rides next Spring!

I think you are being dismissive to the concerns of a number of long-time members who have always supported the Board in every way.
Either that or you just haven't read enough of what's gone on the last week or so.
Welcome back!

Hi there Dave - good to be back - hope everyone is doing well - getting cold down here in Georgia! Put stabilizer in one bike - still hoping to get the other one out for one final camping rally in North Florida!

Hope you have a great Thanksgiving - Bill

Answers we have been waiting for, and if Whacoc is speaking officially for the MODs ;

1. "I personally don't even see an issue"
2. "Seems like a few are intent on dragging us down"

Thats all I needed to hear - loud and clear! [-(

I have more than a bad taste in my mouth and I dont like that!

My time is up.

I think what he is saying is that he doesnt know why people have a problem posting in the correct section. Listen, folks, its easy, if your post has something to do with an R1150R (seats, windsheild, performance, etc), post it in r1150r, otherwise it shoudnt be in here. I think these descriptions are clear: http://r1150r.org/board/index.php

Listen, you cant expect us to read every single post that happens on this board - thats a full time job! I rely on my moderators to help me keep this place clean, and they rely on you to not make it a major PITA doing so!

If everyone just posts in the correct setion, and in the correct way (ie links to potentially offensive images, not putting them inline) it makes it easier for EVERYONE. Moderators have less "work" and viewers know what to expect when they view a particular section. The last thing we want to do after a long hard day at work is move a bunch of posts around and erase postings! I dont know about the other moderators, but I've spent 1-2 hours each night dealing with the board these last couple weeks.

If anyone is not clear on what to post and how to post it and where to post it, please feel free to send me or a moderator a PM or email.

Ok, so this is all pretty logical.. right? Enough of this he said she said stuff. No one has anything to prove other than that they enjoy eachother's discussions. Lets just enjoy the board ok? :)
