Noisy airfilterbox

Do you have this problem? I think my airfilterbox create irinoing noise at 2000-2500 rpm.

The first step is to check if all the intake components and the filter are there. Also check if the oil drain plug (above the rear suspension pre set) is present. My bike is standard and the intake only makes a pleasant mild bellow when accelerating hard AFAIK.

Yes! I'm often tempted to stuff the box with sound dampening foam to see if that helps. I'll look into what gregor wrote though...

that would do it. hard to be loud when it wont run! :lol:


its loud because its right under your left knee. with no barrier. deal with it.
2002 R1150R. Helmets save more lives than loud pipes.
