Can someone tell me.. [for computer geeks]

Post by Doug »

When you go to http://www.r1150r.net/ do you see a really old front page, or the new one with the sept 6 news item? The last update, date is at the very bottom of the page.

I htink something is going on with the dns stuff.. its showing a really old index page for me but my friend says that its pointing correctly.. I dont even know where the web is getting that really old page from!! I tried refreshing..

Thanks.

Yup - Something is amiss. I thought it was because you said the site would be down for a couple of days. Anyhow - my normal link goes to the old page mentioned is previous post. 'LOGIN' link goes to an EZBOARD login screen. Link in top middle of page (marked 'go') brings up a page that says old board disabled with a link to current board. Hope this helps.

Seems to be working okay for me. It might be necessary to flush the cache in your browser to get the latest. Most browsers have a refresh cycle that is settable...

The same thing happened to me. All of a sudden I started to get the old site after months of normalcy. I reentered the URL and got the new site.

I figured out what happened. My ISP had another duplicate site assigned to me and when I forwarded over the .net address he pointed it to the wrong place! Thats why I couldnt find the files the site was accessing and why it was old info.. back then (2004) I was playing with putting the new site on the new ISP..

They routed it to the correct place and it seems to be working ok now... Thanks guys.
