Fuel strips and GS-911

Post by websterize »

Stephan at Hexcode has a new forum with an intriguing post soliciting data on fuel-level sensor types:

http://forum.hexcode.co.za/forum/index. ... ,73.0.html
Anyone have any good technical information on how the strips work? I know they're 4 pins 2 for the "film" and 2 for the heating circuit..
Fairly sure all of the R12Rs are strips, not floats. He has new beta software that reads ZFE data, and he might be working on a fix.

As you requested Bill. I hope I didn't jinx myself by posting I haven't had a problem.
BTW: I'm impressed with all the info you have about your bike, where did you get it.

Thanks, Harry. The info in my reply on the hexcode site is from the GS-911. One of its many functions is the ability to scan your bike's anatomy, find problems and generate a report.

Good luck Hexcode! Certainly hope Stephan's efforts bring fruit. This issue frustrates so many owners.
