Saddlebags & seat question

Post by ron prior »

Are the saddlebags on an R1200 larger than those of the R1150 series? And is the seat higher / foot peg position different, on the 1200?

I may have asked this before?...if so sorry.... [-X

The bags are deeper - so you can fit a full-face system (modular) helmet in them with ease. As far as total capacity - probably about the same as the standard size bags on the R11 series (I could just stuff my Roadcrafter into a bag on my '04 R1150RS, ditto on the R1200R.)

Seat position depends on the R1150 you're talking about. It came in a lot of flavors and seating/leg/foot positions. Your best bet is to take a test ride on the R1200R (and take your checkbook) to see if it suits you.
