I must need a therapist

Post by slowtorque »

So, I've found a super nice K12R Sport with 20k, all records, bags, ZUMO 550, Remus system for sale locally at a real good price. Trouble is, I don't need another bike, but man this one sure seems nice and quite a bit different from the R's I have. Maybe I wouldn't like it? Please help.

Slowly step away from the classifieds, close your paper or computer and get out and RIDE!! You do NOT need this bike, and this is the bike you are not looking for ... move along! ;) [Did that help?]

Hello my name is Keith and I also have a problem

I found a Husky TE610SM not far from me priced to sell and it's taking evry fiber of my being not to go buy it, aaaahhhhhh!

I'd say if you have the cash and the room: buy it. I'd buy the 610 but I don't have room. But then I could rent a self storage unit for about $30.00/month just down the road from the house. Hummmmmm :-k

It would help if I knew you really meant it.

It's an effort to keep three street bikes exercised. If I added a fourth, well, it'd be even tougher. The R1150R is admittedly the one I'd have to choose to let go. Not for the cash or the room, just so I wouldn't feel like a hoarder. And man would I be sad to let go of it. It does not do anything as well as the VFR or the R12R, but I have really enjoyed riding and wrenching on it. Would be perfect timing for a spl*ine failure. Oh, did I say that?

That's an awesome bike. I would love to have one. Wish they were still importing that model (currently the K1300R).

That reminds me of this for sale post. =D>

Hmmm, that ad, despite making me laugh, may have just cured me. Thanks for sharing.

Plus, turns out our aging Golden Retriever needs a surgical procedure, so that cures my problem with an excess of disposable income. Still would rather have a spl*ne failure cause I love my boy. Damn cancer!

I'm sorry about your losses. You're not alone: our big standard Poodle, 6 years, 85 lbs, is a complete gentleman, and was just diagnosed with lymphosarcoma. He's comfortable now, but weak. This is no fun for anyone.

Enough about dogs. I love them but...In my opinion, two bikes is MAX. Ride them, maintain them, and have another life as well.
Mine are an R90S owned since new and an R12R heavily modified to my taste. If posting pics weren't such a PITA I'd show them both...

Just a comment on the K12R - if you do some searching you'll find some of them had airbox issues that gave crappy running. AFAIK - BMW just blamed it on the rider (as usual..) So check out any K12R you're considering very carefully.
