cee bailey euro 21.5 on which bmw mounting bracket?

Hi all,

I've searched back and forth and called up cee baily and i am getting different answers. i recently bought a mounting bracket from another member on the forum. the part number is 99 99 0 000 586

now i am trying to get a cee baily from another member

cee bailey says you need speedster brackets but their own pix show the 4 c-shaped brackets which is the touring bracket. what gives?

can anyone help me out? can you mount cb screens on bmw touring brackets?

I had this same windshield from Cee Baileys that fits on the 4 C-mounts and now have a Speedster Windshield that fits on the 2, smaller double mounts. The Cee Baileys will NOT fit on the Speedster brackets. You need the four C-shaped mounts as shown in the CeeBailey's pic you posted.

I think CeeBailey's does have a windshield for the other BMW bracket as well. Check the pics on their website.

You can see my Cee Baily's euro cut 21.5 over on the Great Rides forum under Cascade Day Trip. It takes the same mounts as the touring shield and Sport shield.

Any clues on finding new or used c - brackets for this cee bailey 21.5 euro windshield?

I was under the impression that the only CB screen that fits the BMW Sport bracket is the CB Sport Replacement screen. All the others higher screens require the BMW Touring bracket.

Only thing I know for sure is that I bought the windshield I have FROM cee bailey and it came WITH the c-brackets. now cee bailey offers only REPLACEMENT windshields and NO BRACKETS. So my question is, where do I get the c - brackets - originally sourced directly from cee bailey - now that cee bailey no longer provides them...? (Yes, I have asked cee bailey DIRECTLY for an answer and received no leads... other than a weak - sauce answer like, "ask BMW for their brackets...") BMW doesn't MAKE the c - brackets or I'd be delighted to purchase them FROM BMW. BMW also doesn't have a bracket that works with my cee bailey windshield, to my knowledge...

Cee Bailey never sold the brackets for the R1150R windshield, the first windshields were for the touring/sports brackets which only came as a part of the complete kit from BMW or ZTechnik. BMW in the later years added the "High Windshield bracket" which is the only one CB still list a windshield for. You may still be able to order the original style windshields from Cee Baileys? Sometimes you may see the touring/sports brackets for sale on EBay or other internet sites, but make sure that there are six (6) pieces included. There should be 4 c shaped arms and 2 triangular brackets which mount on the inside of the turn signal stems to hold the front two c arms. The triangular brackets are very often forgotten when the windshield is removed, people think it is part of the headlight bracket and not part of the windshield mounting system.
