Riding gear sellers in MA or RI?

I'm headed through that way from NY and thought I'd ask some locals what the best (biggest?!) places are to get riding gear around Boston and south - towards newport/providence. I'd go a little off my path if its was worth it. I'm mainly looking for ankle high riding boots and after two returned sets from the internet, I'm just thinking its better to try them on in person. Thanks!
