tire question
Hi. I bought an 03 r1150r last June, and am having a great time with it. However, the rear tire has developed a flat spot in the center and will have to be replaced. Is there a problem replacing it with a dual compound Michelin, when the front tire is a Dunlop. I will not buy another Dunlop, at least this model, (sportmax) as it only has 3200 miles on it. Any suggestions?
Re: tire question
I have been told by the local BMW dealership that with todays tires, there is seldom a problem running a mis-matched set.
2004 Roc.

thanks, just what i needed to hear.
Re: tire question
I don't think there's any problem either. If you want to see a real flat spot go look at my post in this forum. Hard to believe your Dunlop only gave 3200 miles. I usually get 13k on a rear tire, 15k on the front. I'm switching off the front at 10k because I want the PR-3s I'm installing to be a matched set.gaweston wrote:Hi. I don't get caught in the rain, I ride in it on purpose.
