Fuel Injector Clamps

I am replacing my fuel tank QDs and need a source for the fuel injector clamps that have been recommended in several posts.

A few years ago there were worm drive clamps available that had
rolled edges to avoid cutting into the hose.

Those are no longer used or available.

The current style of efi clamps have a small bolt & nut thru them
and are a solid overlapping band.

That's what I used when I installed my external fuel filter and
the brass quick disconnects.

They're available at any regular auto parts.

Just be sure to get small enuf ones that clamp tight on
the fuel lines, and that don't come to the end of their
travel (smallest possible size fully closed) without
tightly clamping the line or hose.

If you get to the point you want to do the external filter thing,
it's much easier just to use a short piece of the right size of
hard copper tubing to replace just the filter instead of that big
loop of hose that's a little hard to tuck up into the tank without
kinking it. Not too long ago someone posted about that and
included a picture and I think the tubing size. You could find
with a search.

I think if I did that I'd use a long enuf piece so that I could
2 clamps on each end just for a little insurance. It's 5/16 efi hose.

And be sure to have a new big O ring if you do the external
filter thing. Part # 16 14 1 341 006. And be very very careful
not to tighten the small nuts that hold the fuel pump mounting
plate into the side of the tank, they reportedly twist off very easily.
Might not hurt to put a dab of blue loctite on them.

Cover everything under those QD's really well, several layers deep,
when you take them apart so you don't leak any gas down onto the
motor or trans. It's impossible to get the yellow stain off.

Yes, thats what I'm looking for. I checked the local autozone and they didn't know what I was talking about. Already have the yellow stain on the side of the engine from the factory QD breaking.

Hmmm, I think that's actually where I got them.
If not there, then O'Reilly's.

Certainly they have to have standard efi hose clamps.

Also try O'Reilly's or Advance or some of those.

I do seem to remember one of those didn't have the
slightly smaller size though.

I found then on the rack at pep boys. The ones you seek are solid stainless, ie no fenestrations. Make sure you get the EXACT correct size or they will leak.

And the are called Fuel Injector Clamps or FI Clamps

there is a code for them that I believe refers to mm size, could be 13??, but on the back of the pack, they come in 4s, there is a description. You want the ones for 5/16"
3/8" is too big--the next size up.

5/16 is the one you want

+1 on the 5/16" size and I can't believe an auto parts store that doesn't have them. They pretty common.
