I used the Suburban Machinery set. I tried Verholen, but that did not work out very well.

I have checked with Suburban Machinery a number of times and they say they DO NOT make lowered rider pegs for the R12R. I'm wondered which you are using?
For myself, I'm having a buddy custom-fabricate a pair and will post photos if anyone is interested.

I'm using the Wunderlich lowering kit. http://www.wunderlichamerica.com/motorc ... 61650.html

With the low seat, my knees were a bit too cramped and foot placed at an odd angle for the controls. The change in position from this kit was minor, but it was exactly what I needed. I did not have to move the brake lever and adjusted the shifter by one tooth on the spline. You can also hardly tell its there.

All great info but I understood the question was about lowering the PASSENGER (rider?) pegs.

No I was interested in rider footpegs. I just ordered them from Eurotech Motorsports. Their footpegs where fully adjustable and where a great price. Thanks.

I had Verholen lowered rider pegs on an R1150RS - frightfully expensive but beautifully made. That set-up wasn't available in 2007 for the R1200R in September 2007- is there a new one or did you just use the variable ones (which I dislike)?

I got the Suburban Machinery ones, and for the price they are quite well finished, and work well (30 months now). Less than half what I'd paid for Verholen. The SM lower by 38mm (RHS) and 33mm (LHS) - I see the Wunderlich is only 20mm.

I haven't received them yet. I'll let you know how I like them once I install them.
