BMW apparel

Post by hortbum »

I've been looking at BMW apparel. I like the mens streetguard 2 suit. The only problem i have is all the BMW apparel is very expensive. Has anybody tried other companies apparel? I have seen some for much cheaper. thanks

I feel Rev'it gear is as good l as any BMW gear, but less expensive.
Modern design with the latest high tech materials.
Gloves, boots, jacket and pants all have performed well for me.

Cheers!

The BMW gear is expensive, but you do get good quality for what you're paying. For example, the armour on my Rallye Pro covers the entire back, including kidneys. It's also 100% waterproof for hours and hours of storm riding - i've never had a spec of water get through. But the reason i went for the BMW gear was the fit. I tried on so many brands and i always felt like a blimp. the BMW gear was sleek and fit perfect.

That said, if the fit is good i think there is lots of other gear that works well too. There are no dealers that carry it in my area, but I've always thought Rev'it gear looked great from a quality perspective.

BMW apparel is expensive, but it works very well and is generally quite durable. I like their boots and gloves particularly well and at the beginning of this summer bought an airflow jacket that is really outstanding. Other apparel that I like is Aerostitch, and for less money and very good value, Tourmaster. There is an old Barbour suit around somewhere that I bought in 1970 that is still serviceable, believe it or not. You need to look at as many options as possible as there is a lot of good product available.
