BMW Tourance-2 review

Last fall I bought a Tourance-2 suite and was waiting for warm weather in Calgary to test it. And finally here is the result:

The jacket has 2 waterproof and 3 non-waterproof pockets and detachable warm liner.
Armour is good - it is like a stronger memory foam - reshapes a little according to your body which provides for a better comfort. Older style armor was also good, but a bit hard and did not change its shape. The pants have detachable suspenders, hip and knee armor and two vents on zippers. There are no zippers on the legs though and putting on taller boots might be a hassle.

One minus - it does not come in the long/short sizes - could be an issue for some guys.

Quality of built - 7 of 10. Overall quality is good, however the front zipper looks and feels not very strong and tends to pinch the fabric in. Some seams quality could be better too. Chest pockets are not very easy to access, but its true for most chest pockets anyway.

Riding comfort - 9 of 10. I rode in it for 2.5 hours at the temperature +5 +10 C and had only a shirt and one layer of fleece under it - no problem with cold. The warm liner does its thing well. Good protection against the wind. I had no chance to test it in warmer weather - it is still pretty cold here in Calgary. There are two zippered vents on the chest and two on the back, so I hope they will provide sufficient ventilation.

Water proofing - 10 of 10. I was riding in it in the rain for about 30 minutes and not a single wet spot on the clothes.

Overall look - 9 of 10. Just because nothing is perfect.

I think it is a very good budget riding gear - worth every penny (especially considering that I bought it with a very good discount on the Internet. I would recommend it.

Thanks for the info. If you would be so kind as to update your impressions after a few months and miles. Some gear gets better and better as it breaks in and some show wear too fast. TIA.
