large feet?

Post by Heat Sink »

I'm completely baffled by the footpeg layout on my 1999 R1100R. Even with the Suburban Machinery lowering kit, my size 12 boots are bumping into everything, but mostly the passenger footpeg support bracket. If I get my feet into a "sporting" orientation with the balls of my feet on the peg, my heels are resting on the passenger footpeg. It's beyond ridiculous. Surely anyone with a size 10.5+ foot has run into something similar - has anyone addressed this issue in any other way than trying to forget it?

If I leave my feet in a more relaxed position, then the outside front of my boot tread is the first thing to touch down when cornering. Not atypical from what I've read about these steeds, but not my ideal.

Yo. Sporting a couple pair 14's myself, I know what you mean... don't think of the passenger pegs as getting in the way, think of it as rearset highway pegs... or two piece floorboards... :-k
