saddlebag dividers for the 1200

Anybody know if there's some way to keep my stuff from moving around when I open my saddlebags. I need either a net bungie or a divider for each side to keep the smaller things in place. Any ideas?

Do you have BMW hard bags? If so I use pannier liners. I think they are Kathys Bag liners bouyght through Bob's BMW. They are real handy. The straps that divide the inside from the outside keep the liners inside.

There is something like that ! I saw those dividers on an australian website if I remember well...police use those a lot as was saying the page.

But because I am not interested anymore by BMW luggages I did not favorite the page, Zorry !

Yes, I have the BMW hard bags. I've always thought the liners might take up some valuable space. I'll check into Kathy's bags.

I have the BMW liners and find I still have plenty of room for my stuff--once even carrying ten days of freeze dried food (for backpacking) for two people. I would not be able to store my helmet with the liners in, however.

Fwiw, the BMW liners were a big disappointment for the money. There are liners as good for half as much.

I have the Cee Bailey liners and they seem to work very well. Well, at least one does ... I've not used the other one yet.

Rather than opening at the top like most "normal" bags, the Cee Baileys have zippers that run around the edges of the bags, so either the "left" or the "right" side of the bag flaps down. Odd, until you remember that the bag's going to be sitting in a saddlebag, and that therefore this is a good way to get easy access to the stuff inside!

You will lose a little volume due to things like the handles, shoulder strap, and "form factor." But it's not that bad. The CBs also work great as carry-on luggage for airplanes. (That's why I've only used one ... the CB overnight bag goes in one saddlebag, the laptop computer, into the other one.)

Going back to the original topic, however, my BMW bags came with a sort of nylon cross-web divider installed. If that isn't what you need, or you're not using Beemer bags, one thought might be to epoxy or plastic-weld some eyelets around the rims of the bag halves and slip a bungee net's hooks through the eyelets. Then you have a net on either half-side that's easy to remove, flexible and elastic (unlike the Beemer's straps), albeit at the expense of some interior volume.

But then, anything you put into the bag is going to take up at least some space.

Thanks for your thoughts on this divider issue. I do have the BMW bags. Oddly enough, they put cross straps only on the front of the inside bag, and not on the half that opens out. How strange is that?
I like the outside zipper idea on the Cee Baileys (I think RKA also have the same zipper design).
Your bungie suggestion is a good one too. The plastic welded eyelets should work.

+1 on the Cee Bailey's case liners. I've had them for a couple of years, and they are great.
