I am just so thrilled with our new arrival that I had to share some pictures. I know most of you have one, and these are just "same old, same old" but I don't care.

So what is she? She arrived last week, a little early but that was just the icing on the cake. A December 24th delivery, just in time for Christmas. 'O8 model with all the bells and whistles including a composite stainless steel and chrome factory exhaust. I like the blue of the headers that you get with the chrome but prefer the stainless look on the muffler. So the dealer put it together for me. Computer, ABS, ASC, ESA, RDC, tinted sports shield and she even came with a BMW Motorrad cover.

My previous bike is an '07 F800ST that my wife is now the custodian of. Not certain who has the bigger grin on their face. She has always accepted my babble about how great BMW's are with a smile and a nod. But now she feels that warm glow that comes from owning one of these stunning machines.

Anyway, enough about her - this is my opportunity to show you what my new baby looks like (and my previous love).

Yes - both will stay in the family. I must say, now that I am riding the R and I get to see the F in action I am appreciating it even more. If I behave myself, my wife may let me take it for a spin every now and then. With the standard seat on the R she can ride it as well so we will get to swap around on longer rides too.

You realize, of course, that if she gets a ride on the RR it will NOT be YOUR bike anymore ?????
