Louder Horn

Post by toomanybikes »

I am new to this board so forgive me if this is a repeat. I live in the Monterey CA area and have to go to Silicon Vally on occasion. This is the home of the WORST drivers in the US. My question is simple: is there a replacement horn for the R1200R that can get they attention of these morons? I would have to be very loud as they are very dense.

Welcome Toomany,

Here is a thread on aftermarket horns. I'm in Santa Cruz, and often ride "over the hill", so I know what you're talking about.

I found the thread with the search function. Its quite handy.

All the best to you,

Can I suggest a headlight and taillight flasher. I've had mine for several weeks now and I can see peoples reaction to the headlight flasher. They tend to get out of my way more, and I see them checking their mirrors more. Maybe they're trying to figure out if I'm a cop or maybe having a flashing light in your mirrors is just annoying... Point is they know I'm there.
