R1100r Dies

Post by gulfsurf »

My 1998 R100R has been running great. Smooth with lots of power. Recently it started to die if the Revs go over 4000 rpms. The bike won't start unless I let it sit for about an hour. There is good fuel flow to the injectors. Plugs are clean and dry. I had just gotten the bike back from bmw service where they replaced the in-tank fuel line and had a regular service check-up. Everything was fine with the bike at that point. This was 9 days ago. Does antone have any idea as to what the problem might be. Thanks

Correction: The bike will eventually die in lower rpm range. It just takes more time.

Take it back to them and let THEM sort it out....if it wasn't doing it before it went in, then it is down to them!
