After my 12K service, my bike started pinging badly after riding for awhile, so I naturally thought that somehow the service was done poorly, as there were other problems. A couple weeks ago I read someone give some advice to a another person because of a similar pinging problem. The solution given was to change gas stations, and there was a link for a website that tracked fuel quality by the different manufacturers, so I decided to experiment. I've always used Premium from Hess stations, as they have individual hoses for the various grades, but Hess was not on the quality list mentioned on the website. As Shell was included in this list, I gave it a try.
The result was almost immediatly noticable! WOW, I couldn't believe it! After about 3 refills, no more pinging, even with the heat wave we have been having in NJ. I've been stuck behind traffic, etc, and no pinging whatsoever. I'm so "fricking" happy!
Next month I have my 18K mile service scheduled; hopefully I will be happy with it. I've decided to take it to a different dealer in NJ...

PS Sweatmark, I'm so happy I took your advice and others when I purchased my Citroid - I love her! I just feel bad that I'm placing so many miles on her...
