Hello, My Name is Ves and I'm a Rockstaholic

Post by Ves »

Welcome to Rackstaholics Anonymous. Please introduce your self...

My name is Ves and I'm a Rockstaholic... I've been without a Rock for almost three weeks now... :(

But I just fixed that problem :!:

Say hello to the new Rock... Not in the garage yet, but hands have been shook and it's mine...

Image

In this case the replacement is better than the original, so I'm stoked... Just over 11,000 miles... So I've got some riding to do to get the Odometer even with my previous one... :D
I think the cage will have to go... and the only down side is it has servo, integrated, ABS... I think that's going to have to go too... but we'll see.
Of course no Ohlin's, but that's fixable too...

I think I'm going to name this one... Vester

Ves, glad you're back in Rocksterland. And a hearty welcome to the Edition 80 roster!

(Don't worry about ABS mandated by the Edn80 version... there's a handy solution to the problem.)

I really shouldn't take the credit for that - watch Hackers.

It's in the garage... I think John, the previous owner, summed it up when he said, "Everything is in balance with the universe again."... sure feels like it... dang it's good to be home... :smt041 :smt040 :smt026 :smt023

Nice lookin Rock Ves.

Ditch the engine guard.

Don't worry about the brakes. Just enjoy the ride.

Picky aren't you? It does look quite obtrusive.

Yeah, actually I'm starting to get use to them... one finger braking! We'll see...

The guards are on their way to benefiting another board member... I'm going to get the valve cover protector types. But if someone is looking for the ultimate in protection, those babies are definitely it...

I am the guy getting the engine guards for "MISS LINDY", my citrus Rock. For some reason they appealed to me, and I was in the mood to do some pimpin on the Rockster. Will try to post pics when done, not real smmoth with the posting of pics on the net, I usually leave that up to my daughter, who is headed back to school in Florida next week. May also try to mount some amber fog lights on the engine guard, I already got the caliper mount PIAA 1100X.

If I plan another weekend soon my wife will shoot me... I'll shoot me... cause the CA trip really wiped out the finances... need time to recover... It's local trips for me for a while...
