Well earlier today I began the journey to trade-in the '07 F650GS and bring home the new '07 R1200R.Glorious weather here today,a bit cool(hi 40s)in the morning but warmed(85)up quickly.Had a good 70+ mile jaunt from the house to the dealer and took all back roads till I got close which made for a nice ride.I must say while the F650GS can get it done it's not something I'd be looking forward to doing very often.Gosh I couldn't imagine trying to do all highway but I know many do on their 650GS's.Definitely wouldn't be my cup of tea but hey more power to those that do.
The return trip was a whole different animal on the R12R though.All I can say is WOW! what a difference a whole bunch of CCs and other upgrades can do for comfort and fun.I now know what I've been missing.The engine is magic and the handling ain't half bad either.
This bike rocks!
I can see the miles racking up quickly going forward.
Thanks and yes I'm finding out rather quickly what all the buzz is about with the R12R.
