R1150R TB Vacuum Tubing

Can any of you knowledgeable gentlemen tell me the size of the black rubber vacuum tubing used at the TB bottoms. This is also the TB nipple that accepts the tubing for the TwinMax Sync Gauge. It appears the present hose will have to be cut at the TB nipple and if cut any off I will come up short after the sync job. They are frozen in-place and I have no choice but to cut them shorter and in doing so will not be able to properly reconnect. I would like to order more tubing, but have no idea of the size to buy. Thanks for any help.

Have you tried grasping the tube with two fingers at the nipple and twisting hard back and forth to break it loose? That worked for me. It could help wearing a rubber glove for a better grip.

Those tubes get so stuck in place from the heat, vacuum and the rubber hose's stickiness that I almost twist off the brass spigots trying to break them free (on the first time). It's almost as if the factory GLUED them on!! If you try to pull the hoses off, they form a "Chinese finger" and contract on the spigot pipe even tighter while increasing the chance the hose will tear apart. Strong fingers forcefully turning the hose on the portion where it covers the brass spigot is the only way to get it off . . . and it works every time.

I use 4mm tube on the TB synch manometer I made up. Fits nice and tight. I also made a couple of seals for emergency if i damaged one when taking one off to do the synch. Cut a bit of the 4mm tube and flame heated the end and squeezed ends together. Reason I did this was that I noticed one of the nipple seals was cracked. I carry a couple in the tank bag.

Do you have these two TB nipples connected???

They're blanked off on my bike.

Most likely you have a bike that has been subjected to a canisterectomy.

The TB tubing nipples, which of course their are two-(2), are rubber tube connected to what appears as a plastic 3-way T-valve, the 3rd discharge exists to the canister. All this is somewhat hidden from view. Is this what you're inquiring about? Perhaps your bike is not fitted with a charcoal canister, which I assume would not require tubing, just maybe a plug of sorts.

Discovered, by pure accident, that if you ride and get the engine HOT, the TB vacuum hoses can be easily removed with just a little twisting. Both sides came off like butter. 70 degrees today and rode about 35 miles. Now I am finally ready for my very first engine sync job this weekend. Hope I don't screw this up. Thanks to you guys for your suggestions.
