sunglasses that fit

any tips on sunglasses that fit comfortably under a Nolan helmet.

I will have to put corrected lenses in them, but that shouldn't matter.

I have a nice pair of Vuarnet "cat eyes" but they rub.

My $8 pair from the truck stop fit fine. I usually get the el cheapo since I have a tendency to lose them.

Don't think there is a best fit for sunglasses to a particular helmet style. I would suggest riding to your local Optometrist and select several frames you like, then try them on with the helmet. Pay attention to the bend and material of the temple tips. Some slide past the helmet pads better than others. A knowledgable Optician may be able to help with adjusting temple bends to facilitate wearing under the helmet. Locally, some guys wear the gold rim military pilot issue frames because the have a "library" temple. This means a paddle shaped temple tip that goes straight over the ear instead of a sharp bend to wrap behind the ear. Personally, I found the helmet/ pad design to make more difference in how sunglasses fit than which sunglasses I wear. I recently got a new Arai helmet (killer deal) and found it to be the best helmet for comfort, sunglasses or not. It just fits me well. I never thought it would make that much difference. Hope this helps.

I love my new Oakley Eyepatch's...They're the best fit that I've worn in my helmet and worth checking out..and at $90 they're not megabucks..

The arms are flat and flex as they slide in against the helmet..I've tryed other styles and they hurt after a while.

Whatever I get will need corrected lenses so I will have to visit the opticien. The Oakleys look pretty decent. Are they light weight? Will look at the Pumas also

Hi I use Ray Ban outdoorsman fitted with prescription lenses. The Springy bit around the ear (technical term) fits well and the thin, light and strong frame do the job. A bit expensive but I have had them for 5 years and have been a good buy
