Bash plate

Post by britguy »

Can anyone tell me if the bash/skid plate on a 07 1200GS will fit a 07 1200R?

My parts department seems to think that the engine casings on the R and GS have different part numbers and so may not fit.....

I was hoping to compare the two bikes at my dealership, but they did not have any R's in.

Thanks.

I think the oil cooler might interfere.

I thought about doing this also and it looks like it would work BUT, when I started totaling up the cost of the parts I backed off. If I knew for sure it would work -- well maybe, but I can't risk that kind of money and end up with a skid plate I can't use.
