New Posts Not so New?

Post by Ves »

Just curious... how does the "New Posts" thing work. I use that a lot and, lately especially, I'm getting pages of stuff most of which is not new.

It's all about the cookies.... if you have cookies turned off, everything is new all the time.

I've been messing with the cookies... (no, not the diet kind) and what I found was that if I want "New Posts" to work, before I click there, I have to go into my settings and delete the cookie for r1150r.org. Then "New Posts" works fine... Now how the heck can that be? It's totally opposite of what I would think. :smt017

I think you're suffering from the "Negative Cookie Syndrome".

Just thought I'd close out this thread with my conclusion. I set my browser so that it removes all cookies after I shut it down. Now new posts works just fine. I'm using Firefox. Ok, now I'll go back to being bored for the winter...
