ruddy terrorists ;-)

Post by chris »

You may have seen the recent troubles over here in the UK in the last week or so in the news? Here's our response....

The British are feeling the pinch in relation to recent terrorist bombing and threats to destroy nightclubs and airports and therefore have raised their security level from "Miffed" to "Peeved'.

Soon though, security levels may be raised yet again to "Irritated" or even "A Bit Cross". Brits have not been "A Bit Cross" since the Blitz in 1940 when tea supplies all but ran out.

Terrorists have been officially re-categorised from "Tiresome" to a "Bloody Nuisance". The last time the British issued a "Bloody Nuisance" warning level was during the Great Fire of London in 1666.

Good one... ...looks like every single British official and authority has got their knickers in a twist over it, though.

Over here on the left side of the pond the collective corporate-owned media has been devouring this story, trumpeting every minute detail of it as soon as it becomes available. But really, some "terrorists" these were... barely managed to set a car on fire, let alone detonate anything. Over in Iraq, homemade explosive devices go off every single day with devastating effect. Makes you wonder if this incident in Blighty was a real effort, or simply meant to stir up fear and hysteria... or perhaps to validate the thousands of CCTV cameras watching every street corner of London? Interesting timing too, what with Blair moving out and Brown moving into #10.

The last time the Brits were "a bit crossed," they sent Bomber Harris after the Nazis and killed 600,000 civilians.

I'd be a little nervous if I were those ruddy terrorists!
