Apparently a dealer custom job, but suggestive.

I don't mind paying for mistakes. Can I get a discount?

Nice!
I'm surprised that the inevitable F800R hasn't been mentioned in any of the (very) favourable reviews of the Aprilia 750 Shiver - isn't this a similar parallel twin layout / capacity / output ?
I'm less keen on the FS / FST plastics, so I'd be very interested in the F/R as it'll have more oomph and less weight than mine, and maybe a better tank range too. Bring it on!

The F800S / ST frame has a high-ish seat (820 / 800) and even higher pegs, giving a feet-up-bum ride. An F800R should (by all that's holy) have the BMW 'just-right' position of the R-R, and this one wouldn't wouldn't, so it loses for me.
The F-R should also have a rear end capable of taking 'real' panniers (unlike the F-S/ST). While BMW is sorting out a new sub-frame to do this, they should lower the seat and pegs (oh, boy, I'm feein' assertive today).
BUT ... I'm on this board coz I don't believe it'll happen, and ceratinly not anytime soon, so I've ordered an R12R. I think we'll see an F8GS soon-ish, but an F8R seems to be a loooong way from production.
(actually, the F650CS is the most-like little BMW for this board, but we're all happy chappies over at the Black Belt Gang http://f650.com/phpBB2/viewforum.php?f= ... a9e22657db )
