For next year, I should see a MotoGp race in...........

Okay, knock on wood but this will be my second year making the trip to Laguna Seca to see the MotoGP boys. I am pretty psyched for the trip. I am already looking ahead to 2008. I am thinking that I have done the US twice so why not go see a race in Europe. I was thinking of trying to see a race in either Valencia, Catalunya, or possibly Assen. I would love to hear suggestions from the gang. Anyone that has actually been to either one of these tracks I would love to hear your feedback. Start the comments

That is not a bad idea. The only downside is the 23 hours of flying time to get there. If I come down do I get to stay at the DJ hotel I would love to see Australia especially since my daughter is named Sydney.

What are the prices for the tickets/seats/pit passes down under? Best estimates are fine.

I go each year and open admission usually costs about $50 ($40 US)..depending which day you go.

I usually go down Saturday to watch qualifying and then watch the race on telly on Sunday.

You could hire a bike for the day and we could ride down together.

It's in October..so it's something to think about.. ..this year is going to be huge...Maybe next year if October this year is too soon.

Moto GP should also be in Indianapolis next year so the rumor mill says.

I heard the rumor of that. I have to say it seems as though the races have more of a following everywhere else besides the US. Last year I think Laguna drew like 125,000 for the MotoGP weekend. The venues in Spain draw like 100,000 for the final day race alone. Well, I know that we have to develop that culture here in the US but I would like to experience the flavor of a race within the other parts of the world at least once :-)

I thought they've been looking for a second place to have a Moto Gp in the US and after all the money they spent on Laguna to meet Moto Gp standards it seems very odd too loose it now..It's a classic track in IMO.

I wonder if it has anything to do with Indy loosing the F1's and them taking the Moto Gp instead?

Moto GP will race at the famous Indianapolis Motor Speedway next year when the race switches from its current home at Laguna Seca.

Joie Chitwood, the Indianapolis track's president, told the Indianapolis Star that the race will change venues as part of an expanded 18-race calendar.

The news will be officially confirmed later this month with Chitwood also set to unveil plans to re-vamp the current road-course section of the oval circuit with the bike track set to run in the opposite direction to the current track

Spain or Italy for me - the whole carnival atmosphere & hopefully great weather for an outdoor weekend.

The Dutch race (Assen) is very well supported too, but maybe a bit less crazy than nearer the Mediterranean. Avoid the UK round, both Donnington and Silverstone suck as a spectator venue & it nearly always rains!
