Hi, I am riding an 02 R1150R. Recently, the barke light seemed to be coming on when the engine is hot. It stays on throughout till I sitch off the ignoition and restart the bike again. Anyone have the ssame problem? Or dies anyone knows what's wrong?
I have sent the bike back to the agent but while we were there, we cannot duplicate the fault! Sigh...

One more thing worth checking.
Our bikes have a known problem with too tight cable ties where the loom comes out from under the tank..usually on the right side.
A small cut in the wires can cause all sorts of problems (depending on which wire gets cut) and the problem can come and go as you turn the bars.

Yup. My left-turn signal started to not work. After a lot of fiddling -- and replacing the flasher unit under the seat -- I discovered that if I held down the button, and turned the bars, the signal would start flashing just as the bars came through dead-center. So I cut the cable ties right at the headstock. Now the signal doesn't work at all.
Looks like I need a new wiring harne$$.

Just another idea.....
My brake light was sticking "on" permanently last week (and presumable for a few weeks before hand).
I eventually traced it to a sticking microswitch for the front brake lever. Although the micro switch is hidden away under a cover (the lower cover on the RHS switchgear) they can still get a bit dusty and when that happens the "plunger" on the microswitch can stick.
the (short-term) solution is to loosen off the retaining screw slightly so that the body of the microswitch is not being compressed - this allows the plunger to move freely.
I had to do that fix in the forecourt of my dealer on the morning of the MOT!!
