Sorry for the grouchiness

Post by yjleesvrr »

It just hit me that I've posted a number of threads in recent months that complain about various issues related to life, travel, etc. I've been working my butt off in recent years and I've struggled with burnout in a big way over the past six months. Some of this has filtered into my posts. So I'd like to apologize to y'all about that. Still enjoying the website, still enjoying life, and definitely loving motorcycling.

One thing is for sure. I need to ride more in the mountains and out in the country.

If that is your PO'd mode you are one laid back guy!

No worries here.

But your penance will be a ride report with pics :)

If you can't gripe in a discussion forum where you gonna gripe? Besides we just ignore you anyway...

Your grouchiness is some of the most reasonable griping I have heard.

I have been that way for so long, I can scarcely remember anything before. :x

Don't worry, as soon as riding season kicks in, you'll be back to normal. Tis' better to vent than hold it in an explode at your family, so by all means take it out here. I think we can handle it.

Hell I've only been to work once, on 2 short 1 hr rides, and 1 longer 3-4 hr ride, and I feel better already. Oh yeah and I did a little wrenching in there, you know...that made me feel pretty damn good too!

Yong - honestly, I haven't noticed. But sounds like you need a gathering of the R1150.org support group! We need to meet soon! Before the Bash! :D

Geez, Jong. I've (at least for now) bailed out of the Playhouse because I'd been taking things too seroiusly and been on more rants than participating in discusssions.

By my standards you are Mother Teresa. Man, if you feel the need to apologize, how much penance do I owe? (OK, Bill, say six billion "Our Fathers and...).

But I agree a few road miles helps everyones outlook.

JC, we set up the computer to calculate that, and we ran out of memory :)

I think we're a good natured bunch compared to other communities I've seen on the 'net regardless of topic. It's just that my mind has been dwelling on things that frustrate me lately rather than the joys and blessings I've had in life. A lot of this has to do with living in the DC area. This area's traffic has to be experienced to believe. And traveling in the Northeast - the densest urban connurbation in the country, isn't fun either.

I've been reflecting on life in America, the values we hold, and my own lifestyle that I've built as a result. I'm recognizing the need to slow down and enjoying things more rather than constantly drive toward growth. Being a businessman, I live a life of optimization. This is beginning to wear me out. I remember my happy-go-lucky attitude when I was younger, and miss that aspect of myself.

Why you %#@**+^. If my hands weren't already cramped up from "workin' these beads" for 72 hours straight, I'd type a blistering reply!!!!!

Amen brother, I have done the same thing to myself (and girlfiend). Ya gotta let up and give yourself a break or you WILL drive yourself nuts.

Okay. The Mike's discovered some adventure roads that are suitable for R1150R clearances and Roadsterista's skill levels.

So the weekend that SamCam leaves for her 3 week trip, I will host a central Virginia mini-Bash at the farm. Yong, it is between Blacksburg, Haymarket and NJ - you can do it.

Vann and Phil, it is a reach but you are welcome to show up anytime of the day or night.

John, Chew, Brian, Carlos, Rich, etc -- no excuses!!!!

Apr 27-29 and/or May 4-5-6.

Beds, cots, linens and HOT showers available but bring tents and camp stuff also!!!!

Mike - PM me your address and directions. No promises but I would love to work it out. April would not have worked for me but two weeks before the Bash, maybe . . .

Sorry guys, I'm already out of town/have plans that weekend. You'll just have to deal with me not being there.

So close too; I figured I could at least make it Saturday night.
