Ride report-This baby's quick
I was able to get out for my first decent ride on Sunday. I was working hard to keep engine speed under 4,000rpms because of the break-in. On my way home after about a 100 mile ride, I was traveling at around 60 mph and cracked the throttle on an open stretch of road. In the instant I took to look down I was going 95! I read that the engine seems to grow a couple of new cylinders. Now I know what they mean. Is this great acceleration or am I just old and easily impressed?
:(
You riders are KILLING ME! I know there are alot of die hard 1150 riders and all. But, I am a rider who ALWAYS looks for more HP! So, until I win the lottery, I will watch the website, and read with great anticipation and drool on my chin.
RIDE TOO PRETEND, PRETEND TOO RIDE.

Punch it !
Rmack: I did essentially a Motoman breakin like I always have even before Motoman posted it" Hit the engine hard to set the rings properly in the first 100 miles or so, allowing proper cooldowns, and dont maintain a constant RPM for the first few hundred miles while doing the hard runs. Result on my RR is, at 2500 miles, 50 mph (definitely not babying the throttle!) and no oil consumption at all. I absolutely LOVE this bike. (The seat sucks after a while though!).
