BMW Good Cheer

I've been researching for awhile in regard to a BMW motorcycle-oriented book and through that have become quite good friends with Mark Nilsson of a London-based band called 50Hz (fifty hertz). Those not familiar with the name may be acquainted with some of the band's songs as used as backing tracks here and there in the Long Way Round documentary. They'll also be found sprinkled in Charley Boorman's Race to Dakar documentary and the group will have songs in a third, Charley and Ewan's trek through Africa called "Long Way Down".

Anyway, Mark and his mates are a fantastic band and through guilt-by-association have become linked in a strange sense with BMW motorcycling. Their CD debut, however, is just now occurring. Called "Here Goes Everything" it has tunes heard on the LWR documentary as well as a host of new material. The CD has just become available on iTunes and I know the guys are excited about it, so we'd appreciate folks visiting iTunes to give it a listen and to comment on it---or even better, making a purchase or two as a matter of BMW good cheer

Hey DJ, thanks.

The music is really first rate and because of the Long Way Round documentary soundtrack connection it just seems like the natural backdrop to BMW riding. I've bought several and have sent them to friends all who have been amazed that this was out there and they weren't aware of it.This iTunes availability move will be a good thing for Mark and the guys of 50Hz.

PS: Would be great to hear from you on my other thread "BMW'S and Baby Boomers"...even if you may not quite be an official boomer yet (born 1946-1964)---you're still just a babe in the woods, right? I know you can elaborate on the "Why" of riding....
