After taking the bike on a 580km trip the other weekend, I decided to park the bike for a week and bring the wife and daughter out the following weekend to earn some husband and daddy points (for another long ride)
Today, I was itching to take my baby out for a spin around the neighborhood. I havent gone more than half a kilometer when the bike just conked out on me.
I tried to restart, enging cranking like it should but to no avail. Called up the dealer and told them my situation. My sales rep says he suspects the fuel pump 'cause he cant hear a whinning sound (?) What do you guys think?
Whoa! even Chicago BMW wants $324 for that part. and that is with 20% off! If it fits, that looks like a good deal. I'd check to make sure it is getting power before I laid down the cash though, maybe take the pump out, and bench test it. There could be a problem with the electrical end.
