well after alot of thought i finally sold the beekster,, i;ve been spendind alot more time on the GTO and with the extra money i probably put a super charger on it,,,anyway had a great ride up to montery in october and found myself enjoying the car a we bit more [alot of hourse power]
i obtained tons of info on this board not to mention the freinds and 'great rides' but wiil probably have to change the name to ' exbeekstersocal
i did obtain my asking price with no haggeling which made the blow a little softer probably because of beemers price increases for new models
Life without a bike?
It wont last long. I know from personnall experience.
I went thru the car stage, Z28 Camaro, C10 pickup, current Toyota Soarer
SC400, but had to get another bike before I went crazy.
A bit like a drug-very addictive.
I still enjoy the car thing, and wouldnt swap my Soarer for anything, but my bike is my stress relief from the hassles of work.
No people blowing in your ear, no disruptions what so ever.
i totally agree ,,,,but right now the car and some other things i may be getting involved with make this transisition a little more easier
i will be back ,,,,but not to start a new topic i dont think i'll go boxer again...dont get me wrong my bike took me to places that blew my mind with total confidense but i'll most likely go 4 cyl ,
and yes the GTO is a great car its a 04 5.7 ls1 which is getting chipped and tuned this weekend
yes it is the auzzie import , i truly love the style of this car and the build quality and ya not to mention again ,,the power,the 05 and 06 models have the 6.0 ls2 with 50 more ponys,,,i;ve already done ...intake, exhaust,plus the chip and tune should put me right there

the beloved RR will be missed ,especially that remus sound
Sorry to see you go. Losing you to a 4-wheeler? We all know how long THAT will last. At least you know enough to not drag race a Beakster for money (you'll loose).
4 cylinder bike when you return? The choices are many and it boils down to $$$ and what kind of riding you do most.
Is tampering with the chip data kosher with Calif EPA emission testing? Will it pass?
beekstersocal....Bugger!...What a bummer that your RR is gone...but there's no need for you to go as well...even if it's just to pop in every now and then.
That Aussie Monaro is a nice car...and very common around here.

Hmmm. I can't say I can relate. 2-wheelin' it is so much more visceral. But it is nice to be able to play tunes in a climate-controlled setting and row away at a stick shift. While my 325i isn't nearly as fast as your Goat, it provides a refined sporty ride that a motorcycle will never approach.
Hope to read about your new K1200R in about, oh, two years!
